  • HPL India brings CFL bulbs to Valley

After writing a success story in the domain of CFL bulbs in the neighbourhood, the HPL India Ltd, one of leading manufacturers and exporters of LT switchgears, today launched its new product range in the Valley. At an impressive function here which among others was attended by its dealers in Kashmir, the company launched two product ranges: CFL lamps, .5 and .85, and wires and cables. Director Marketing, HPL India Ltd., Goutam Seth on the occasion said: “Our CFL or compact fluorescent lamps are very advanced and they go through stringent quality checks to ensure that they deliver high quality product.” He said the company for its other products had already a huge market in Kashmir and “this is for the first time that we are launching the CFL bulbs here.”

He said the company had already been approved by many government departments and “we expect huge market for our new product ranges.” The company, he said, had a wide network of dealers in Kashmir. “Based on the feedback we receive from our dealers, we do expect a good market for our CFL bulbs in Kashmir,” he said.

He said the company had secured a prestigious order for 42 lakh packs (four bulbs each) of CFL bulbs in Himachal Pradesh. “Our every product complies to international standards,” he said. Seth said the company also manufactured on load changeover switches, isolators, bye pass switches, MCCBs, MCBs, ELCBs, MCB distribution system, rotary switches, fusegear, energy metering solutions/energy management systems in India. “We have secured a Rs 26 crore order from the PDD in Kashmir for supply of meters,” he said.

To mention, compared to general service incandescent lamps giving the same amount of visible light, CFLs generally use less power, have a longer rated life, but a higher purchase price.
