What are the advantages of MCBs over switch with Kit Kat Fuse?

MCBs are sealed unit with flame retardant body. MCBs have trip free mechanism which means in case of fault the MCB would trip even if knob is forcibly kept in on pointer thus ensuring safely. MCBs offer dual protection.

  • Overload through Bimetal Relay
  • Short Circuit ( instantaneous trip )
  • MCBs are Anti - tamper and have a long life besides aesthetics
  • Can be procunted in various types of aesthetically designed DD troleution systems to match with the ambiance
      of the place of application
  • MCB are current Limiting and have high Breaking Capacity. Seperate Series for lighting & Inductive load for
      close protection (curves loads)

Rewireable Kit Kat are not safe and are normally misused. In case of fault there is a tendency to put thicker fuse to avoid frequent tripping , resulting in fires.

  • When Kit Kat Breaks at odd hour, you cannot replace and hence are put to inconvenience
  • Fuse Wire is open to moisture
  • A lady or a child cannot fix a fuse where as MCB can be switched ON or OFF by a child and even unskilled person
  • Kit Kat look shabby
What are the advantages of DIRIS - Multifunctional Meter over Single       Parameter Meters?

All electrical parameters in single composite unit thus replacing so many single parameter meter such as Volt Meter, Ammeter, power Meter, Energy Meter, Power Factor meter, Frequency Meter & associate switch such as ASS & VSS etc.

  • Less wiring is involved.
  • Less space in the panel is invloved.
  • As meter is programmable. The same meter can be used for LT/HT Network.
  • Highly accurate and reliable.
  • Meter has programmable CT-Ratio for direct current measurement. Thus direct measurement of power & energy.
  • Meter can be interface with computer thus remote monitoring is possible as well as power analysis and energy audit   can be made.

What is the difference and advantages of Electronic Energy Meters and       Electro-mechnical Meters?

    • ASIC based digital technology ensures superior and drift free long term performance and reliability.
    • No mechnical part ensures less power consumption.
    • Meter will sense and read energy even when a load of zero watt is connected.
    • Meter will read with accuracy irrespective of mounting position.
    • Meter will read correctly under rapid current fluctuation and wide range of voltage fluctuation.
    • Tempering is not possible in Electronic Meters (Static Meters) even when :

      • One or two phases are removed / one phase and neutral are removed.
      • Neutral is removed.
      • Input/Output terminal are interchanged.
